Always in the back of my mind, it wasn't until a momentous push from my good friend Mary Ellen to start this blog called "Corrin's Corner". I think it will be really great to share all of the creative crafty fun things that I get myself (and sometimes my husband) into as well as inspirations, how-to's, good-to-know's (GTKs), note-to-self's, and oh yeah's! I enjoy doing most everything, feeling as though my interests are very expansive. I am definitely a DIY girl and I love home organization, interior design, sewing, gardening, baking, repurposing furniture/everyday items, card making, graphic design (invitations, programs, name cards etc), photography, and the assembly of colors/textures/patterns, kayaking, and entertaining my dog Libby. Among my long list of lofty life goals and ambitions, I would one day love to appear on the Martha Stewart show!
WEDDING PROGRAMS
So Labor Day was the wedding of my best friend Caitlin out in California. I asked the lovely bride if she needed help with the wedding programs and so I was so excited to be able to design, print, assemble and deliver the programs! This was a fun project to design the layout in Illustrator, print them out on cardstock (65 lb), use a scrapbooking tool to help crease the center of the paper to help fold them in half, then punch holes on either end and thread a beautiful silky grey ribbon through the top and bottom, and lastly cut the ribbon ends on a bias to get a nice edge. This was a great project and one that I hadn't done since designing and "manufacturing" my own wedding invitations.

ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I think you will be a magazine editor one day with all your talent and communication skills. Of course, having a hubby who supports and shares your interests helps. Keep those creative juices flowing and have fun. Blog on...........
